This spell allows the Magic User to do one of two things. He can either enchant 3 arrows (or similar weapons; crossbow bolt, dart, etc.) or create an arrow-like construct of magical force that can then be fired from a bow. In the first case the enchantment causes the arrows to be surrounded by an alabaster aura that will last 1 turn per level of the caster or until fired. In the second case the force-construct appears as an alabaster arrow that will last until it is fired from a bow and it strikes its target. In both cases if the Arrow misses its enchantment is lost. In either case the Alabaster Arrow has the following effect: · The Arrow is considered a +1 Magic Weapon for hit determination. · The Arrow gains a +1 bonus to hit for every 3 levels of the caster. · The Arrow inflicts normal damage (1d6) with a +1 bonus to damage for every three levels of the caster. In addition, magic light, equal to a Light spell is generated and will persist for 1 round per level of the caster. Any subject failing to save will be blinded for the duration of the spell (and suffer penalties of -4 to hit and +4 on Armor Class).
