He can either enchant 3 arrows (or similar weapons; crossbow bolt, dart, etc.) or create an arrow-like construct of magical force that can then be fired from a bow. In the first case the enchantment will last 1 turn per level of the caster or until fired. In the second case the force-construct will last until it is fired from a bow and it strikes its target. In both cases if the Arrow misses its enchantment is lost. In either case the Blood-arrow has the following effect: The Arrow is considered a +1 Magic Weapon for hit determination. The Arrow gains a +1 bonus to hit for every 3 levels of the caster. The Arrow inflicts normal damage (1d6) with a +1 bonus to damage for every three levels of the caster. In addition, the struck creature feels a terrible burning sensation envelope them. This causes 2d4+2 points of damage for every five levels of the caster. Save vs. Spells for half-damage for this portion of the spell. |
