When cast a small glode of intense light appears in the center of the area of effect and then explodes. Anyone caught in the area of effect is instantly destroyed, disintegrated by intense heat. A savings throw is allowed, success means that the individual was able to get just out of the disintegration area but they take 10D12 points of damage from waves of heat. Beings immune to fire and heat are not affected by this spell. Any magical item in the area of effect must make a savings throw versus disintegration with a -5 penalty or be destroyed. The enchant bonus of the item can be used to offset the penalty. Thus an item with a +2 enchantment would have -3 penalty to its save. Items of +4 enchantment or higher are not destroyed and do not need to make a save. Items that do not have an enchantment bonus still save with a -5 penalty but those deemed "special" by the DM do not need to make a save.
