02/05/2010 - Gunslinger Girl!
Just added an anime section for Gunslinger Girl! Been wanting to add that for a while. It's got 660 screenshots, and is all set with the filter system so you can check out just specific characters or combinations of specific characters. There's also one wallpaper so far; I'll be adding some more soon, I want at least one for each of the girls.
01/31/2010 - Introducing: Gunsmith Cats
I just added an anime section for Gunsmith Cats. It's got 141 screenshots I took myself, as well as a couple wallpapers I made with some of those screen shots.
I also finished coding up a tag filtering system for image galleries. The new Gunsmith Cats image gallery is set up for this, so you can filter the images for specific characters. When I have time I'll be going into the other sections and updating them so the images will have tags to work with the new filter system.

I updated the site so any page with multiple pages of stuff, such as image galleries, you can now select how many things you want to be shown on each page.

I just added a new Cardcaptor Sakura manga wallpaper in two different sizes. I also updated all the display pages with thumbnails to list the image dimensions when you hover over the thumbnail so you can check that before you open it. And the image galleries now automatically display the file size the same way right next to the dimensions.
01/28/2010 - I'm at it again...
I decided to clean up the code since it was ancient and ugly, but I ended up re-designing to the site again too once I started. Go figure. Here's some things that have changed:
- New design
- New navigation system
- Removed forums because they never get used
- Recreated guestbook (there's a blast from the past, eh?)
- Removed video sections
- Switched the dice roller in the AD&D section to JavaScript
The new design adjusts to fit screen sizes, with a minimum size that will fit in 800x600--if you use smaller than that, tough luck. If you use bigger, rejoice, there's more content area! The new navigation system cuts down all the links on the left to only the ones for the section you're in. And you can close it for more content area, or switch it to another section without leaving the page. Less re-loading pages for you, less server load for me. The site is now HTML 4.01 Strict compliant and I've validated everything. And I've tested it in all the major browsers and some of the moderately used ones: FireFox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome (my main browser), Opera, and Safari.
I removed the forums because no one uses them. Instead I brought back the Guestbook. Maybe I just don't go to sites that have them anymore, but it seems to me Guestbooks have gone nearly extinct. But I think for a site like mine, it should work nicely. And of course, this guestbook my own creation, not some third-party piece of junk with ads.
I removed the video sections because, well, there's YouTube. Who on earth downloads twenty second videos clips from a random site when you could find them on YouTube? Or any one of the many other YouTube-like websites. I think I may add links to--or embed--YouTube videos at some point; but I don't think there's any reason to have the files for download anymore.
Most of what I did is completely invisible to most of you; little things that just make everything work better.
Since I've cleaned up the code and have been in the mood, I think I'll be adding some new content and new sections soon. I'm also trying to think of new functionality that will make the site more uniquely useful than other sites. I'm a professional web developer with years of experience, there's got to be some way I can put that to use on this site and make things better. I'll have to think on it.

02/18/2009 - Yeah, I'm still alive...
While I haven't added new content in a while, I'm not ignoring the site. Well, I am, kind of--but I haven't abandoned it. I just don't have any new content to post. If anything new is submitted via the forms, I still check it and will post it if I think it's worth posting. But I don't look around the net for new stuff to post like I used to. Just thought I'd mention that, since it's been almost a year since my last post ^_^
