Outlaw Star... A Great Anime

This series is one of the greatest animes of all time. It only had 26 episodes but it captivated the mind from the first minute of the first episode. I bought the series and often just sit down and watch it the whole way through because it is still great though I have seen it many times. It is about a man named Gene Starwind that is afraid of space and will do anything to follow his dream once he meets an outlaw named Hot Ice Hilda. He starts off with his best friend and business partner Jim Hawkings. Jim and Gene find Melfina when they are hired to protect Hilda who was masquerading under another identity. They go into space and get a top of the line space ship which they dub the Outlaw Star. They also meet Aisha Clan Clan and Suzuka in their travels, and make a few deals with the very strange Fred Lowe. The whole time they are running from the Kay pirates. The whole series revolves around a place called the Galactic Leyline which holds a great treasure. If you want to find out what this treasure is, you will have to watch the series your self. All and all this is definitely one of the greatest animes ever and I give it my highest recommendation.
