Memory Lane
By:
Looking down the road, you don't see a thing. Because you wonder what the future will bring. Standing in the field where you once stood before, You ask yourself a question: am I ready to open the door? But then you turn around because you miss the old past. Wishing that it could've been longer to last. Watching friends grow up, hoping that they'll always be your friend. Hoping that they'll always be there 'til the very end. Going back to old stores and all the old places; Seeing all the familiar faces. Oh, Mom, wait 'til I get married, Then you'll know I don't need to be carried. Do you miss when I was nine? But don't worry, Mom, I'll be just fine. I hope you like the person I love; So you can watch us from way up above. I'll be okay, don't worry. I guess this is like a made-up story. Now I'll leave the past behind, But I'll always keep it in mind. I'm going to miss the Memory Lane, And I hope it'll be the same. As I open the door and leave the past, I hope the story's true and eternity will last
