I sit alone in darkness,
Sad and miserable to life,
Trying to hide from this worldly mess.
The world is a place of misery,
So much pain and suffering,
Bad things happen to good people constantly.
It seems things always go wrong,
You work hard through your whole life,
Then you're dead before long.
The world is full of discrimination,
Hate in the hearts of so many people,
Why can't we become one nation?
I think it's about time to change our ways,
Show kindness and compassion for each other,
Let's make for better days.
I can't do this alone my friend,
Please help me change this hateful world,
Before it comes to an end.
When will we stop the destruction?
How long will Wars go on?
Don't you know Wars only bring depression?
September Eleventh was a horrible tragedy,
So many people died for nothing,
It's going to take the man in me to conquer the insanity.
How many caskets will we witness?
Don't you know we need God in our lives?
I think it's time we asked for forgiveness.
We need to let the unconditional love grow,
Please don't ever give up and lose hope,
Say something kind to someone who feels low.
To all the people who have it very rough,
I understand it's hard to help someone else,
When you have it just as tough.
But if we all stand tall,
And together try to change our ways,
Nothing can make us fall.
