The Darkness Engulfs Me

This darkness engulfs me
I fight but it drowns me
I push my self
Almost to self destruction
Yet slowly through my suffering
Through my pain the light begins to set
It sets in slowly
Time can never heal this wound
The light will never heal it either
Nothing will
But a savior stands before me
They shine like an angel
Breaking the shell
Keeping me from hell
So my shadow still stands sway
Eternal this struggle goes
But for now the light shines
Uplifting me protecting me
Freeing me
