I Sit at my Window
By:
I sit at my window, Watching the Moon Holding it's secrets Holding the truth Of a long forgotten time, That you won't learn about in books. I see old memories That the Moon kept hidden from me. I listen to their story, To the song that the Moon sings, To the secrets it whispers in my ears, And to the truth of olden days. I listen to the tale Of all sorts of things, Of lost lifes, loves, and friends Of a war greater then any other war That destroyed our love, peace and The most wonderful place there ever was. I sit at my window And watch the Moon. Holding our secrets Holding our truth Of our forgotten past Of our forgotten peace Of our forgotten lives, My friends and I. I sit, watching the Moon.
