On The Hill

By:

(This poem is in honour of David Gellman, a true friend)

Dawn of dreams revolve around us, taking shape upon the hill.
All is silent but the spirits that dance around the two of us.
Void of mind, and void of feeling, only spirit thrives up here.
In our hand the legacy of kings and prophets lights the aura of night.
Diving deep into philosophies of ancient, unforgotten (retold) times.

Growing on in this serene caress he stands a benevolent teacher.
Everything he says reflects the wisdom of the voices around us.
Leaving body far behind, his teachings tell us so to do.
Leaving all but purity, our souls are left in a choir of harmony.
Meaning is revealed in his words so kind.
All, however, are shining friendly, not masterful.
Nothing against him has standing on the hill.

In the night where we stand on the hill together,
Speaks none of us yet we know what each other mean.

Mine is the triumph to have him on my side this night.
Years shall long for his closeness again after this.

Feelings kindness and lovingness alike resound in both.
Resound in both, we, us two, together that we stand upon the hill.
In mind, and body, heart and soul, we feel one to be there not two.
Even as the dawn breaks the night that we (I) stand upon the hill together (united),
Not is day, for
Dreams revolve around me, giving shape to the night (thanks to thee).
