AD&D 2nd Edition » Magical ItemsCumbersome Boots These boots, as their name suggests, are horribly cumbersome. There is no way to tell them from boots of flying, by either looks or by use of magic detection... until you put 'em on! Once put on, these boots my not be removed short of using a dispel magic spell. These boots will add one hundred pounds of encumbrance to the unfortunate person wearing them. If an attack is made while wearing the boots, there is a -2 penalty on attack rolls. However, if the person is attacking with their foot, & manages to hit, they gain +5 to the damage inflicted. |
