AD&D 2nd Edition » Magical ItemsAmulet of the Immortals This amulet is made from adamantite and is roughly two inches in diameter and half an inch thick. Once placed around the neck the wearer immediately gains all the benefits of its power. The wearer will not age any further but is locked into the age that they put the amulet on at. Any sort of magic item, spell, or attack that would accelerate ones aging has no effect on the wearer. Death by old age is not possible any longer but death may occur by various other means. The wearer can stop the aging in another individual for ten years at the cost of one point of constitution lost permanently. Even if the amulet is removed the wearer will not return to the proper aging process. Years Amulet Worn 1-5 years - age 1 year per 10 years 6-10 years - age 1 year per 20 years 11-15 years - age 1 year per 50 years 16-20 years - age 1 year per 100 years 21+ years - age 1 year per 1000 years Wearing the amulet less than a year doesn't slow down the aging process enough to be noticed if its lost. |
