This item is a metal sphere six inches in diameter with a ruby colored eye on the front. The eye can be active or inactive, usually inactive when its not being used. When active it will float at what ever height the owner wishes. The height and speed (move rate 40) can be adjusted at any time via mental command. The owner will see everything that the ruby eye does, gaze attacks will not affect the owner while he/she is looking through the eye. The range that the eye can function while away from the owner is one mile, the eye will go no further than one mile. The eye is not affected by fire/heat, cold, psionics and has an AC of -2. Regular weapons do no damage to it any weapon of +1 enchantment or better will do full damage, the eye has 50 hit points. The eye is the ultimate tool for recon it has 360 feet of infravision, hawk-like vision, and can see through magical darkness as if it were in broad day light.
