A powerful enchanted item, in the form of a plain gold thumb ring. It possesses the following powers:

• On silent mental command will transform into a Dagger +4
• The weapon does double damage to all evil-aligned creatures (2d4+4)
• Three times per day the blade can be made to dance with incandescent silver flames, if it strikes successfully, the foe instantly dies, unless it Saves vs. Death Magic (at a -4 penalty). Even if the Save is made, the foe suffers 4d4+4 damage and will be paralyzed for 1d4+1 rounds.
