This dagger, when drawn from it's sheath, will make the person holding it become a shadow. The difference between someone using this dagger & a real shadow is, this shadow can do anything the person could do--the person merely assumes the looks & contours of their own shadow. So, they may be longer or shorter depending on the light & it's position. In the dark, they're merely a small dark--invisible in the dark--round shape on the ground. With a properly positioned light, they could become incredibly tall (or long if you look at it that way). The shadow can attack, move or manipulate anything it touches as well as the person could have.
